100 Years of Expert French Craftsmanship
The Chasseur cast iron manufacturing process involves several steps to create high-quality and durable cast iron cookware.
The raw iron is carefully selected and melted in a furnace at high temperatures. Once the metal has reached the desired consistency, it is poured into molds to create the desired shape of the cookware. The molds are made from sand or other heat-resistant materials that can withstand the extreme temperatures of the molten metal.
After the casting process is complete, the cookware is left to cool gradually, allowing the metal to solidify and take its final form. Once cooled, the cookware is removed from the molds and undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure its quality and integrity.
Finally, the cookware is polished, painted, and sometimes enameled to give it a decorative and protective finish. This finishing process also helps to prevent rusting and makes the cookware easier to clean and maintain.
